The flats

"The Jasmine Court is a small courtyard paved with slabs of rock typical of the area and enriched with a portico made in the traditional way with stones from the Breggia river and wood, from which one enters the dwellings. What makes it unique is the presence of an ancient well still active, fed by the spring below.

"La Taverna Lombarda'. In the 1700s it was the only place in the house heated by a fireplace, where women spent their days looking after children and animals and cooking. The whole family would gather around the fire to share a meal and enjoy each other's company.

"La Vecchia Cantina of Ca de Pulan over the centuries has never ceased to be used to store food for family use, jams and vegetables in oil made from fruit and vegetables from their own garden, and wine produced locally from grapes from the surrounding vineyards.

"La Curt di Murun he mulberry court is a large courtyard paved in stone and bordered by high walls, which served as an entrance for carts. From here, access was gained to the stables and hayloft by passing an ancient animal watering trough. On the sides are several mulberry trees, which with their strong branches and dark green leaves form a vault, shading part of the courtyard. Mulberry trees were cultivated in these parts of the Lake Como for centuries and have become an integral part of Ca de Pulan, providing shade and coolness during hot summer days. Surrounding them are flower beds of hydrangeas that create a peaceful and cosy atmosphere. During the warm season, this area is used as an entertainment area for family and friends, where one can gather to enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the countryside. 'La Curt di Murun' is a fascinating place that represents the history and culture of the region, and an example of how man has been able to create an oasis of peace and harmony in the midst of nature.
